Comic Book Movie News: Spider-Man archnemesis Venom gets spin-off movie

According to Steven Zeitchik, a blogger for the Los Angeles Times’ 24 Frames, Sony is in negotiations with “Chronicle” director Josh Trank to lead a project starring the popular Spider-Man villain VENOM.

Along with seeking out a new director, Sony is looking for a new Venom, as Spider-Man 3 star Topher Grace isn’t expected to return.
